About Jose Etcheverry

As a Canadian citizen of Chilean birth, Jose understood at a very young age the value and the costs of protecting democracy. Jose obtained his Ph.D. at the University of Toronto and has become an internationally recognized researcher, award-winning professor, and successful businessman

In 2005, Jose and his wife Serena decided to move to Markham to raise their family and to work as educators (Jose is a tenured professor at York University and Serena is a teacher at Markham District High School). They both live in Markham with their three children in a home that is powered by a Made in Ontario solar energy systems that were designed and installed by Jose.
