Lou works for one of North America’s largest sales, service and marketing companies with over 60,000 employees for over 30 years. He understands how large businesses manage spending, deliver services and lead large teams.

In business, sound decisions begin with verifiable data to build and maintain budgets to ensure cost do not exceed plan.

Lou is running for City Council to share his experience and help Council members to look beyond the totals and understand the hundreds of pages of line items in budgets and financial statements presented by City staff.

Lou has played, coached and volunteered in Maple Ridge soccer, hockey and baseball, and learned to swim with the Neptunes.

He has spent time volunteering with Greenpeace, the old MR S&R team, RCMP community service, numerous Maple Ridge community events and serve on the board of the Olympic CRF committee and Share the Cupboard Canuck Place committee.

With an extended family of over twenty in the Maple Ridge, Lou understands the need for to expand recreational services for his entire family, including four grandchildren while balancing housing affordability for their parents.
